![]() The water is stagnant so there's algae growing in it. The wooden gate was very difficult to lock and unlock. We had to slam the door really hard for it stay closed. This place definitely needs some fixing or just the room we had to stay in. Most of the doors in the room seems to be broken or almost breaking. Our safe was broken and it wasn't fixed until the next day. To get anything fixed it takes them hours to get to your room. You have to eat on a strict schedule here because if you miss the time, you have to wait until the next time they serve food at the only included restaurant on site. Can't drink in the room or beachside unless you pay for drinks. Everything in the mini bar in the room is overpriced. If you want anything delivered to your room, it's very expensive. The only thing that is included is the one restaurant and one indoor bar. We got the all-inclusive package but it is very misleading. But now i'm thinking that I will have to go back someday! Just not to this property again though. Maldives, in my opinion is a honeymoon or bucket list destination and my plan was to visit it once and be done with it. Had to go outside to the entrance to use it. But if I want to sleep or stay in my villa after spending that much, then let me!! Oh plus the wi-fi did not work inside our villa. I spent approximately USD 4,000 for 4 nights at this resort which is not chump change. I am writing this review a week after my stay, because I wrote the same things in a comment card at the hotel, but received neither an apology nor an acknowledgment of the bad experience I endured due to some staff members. Secondly, the resort needs to have flashing neon signs outside villas which say "DO NOT DISTURB" because my butler refused to understand what a DND sign means. It became so bad that my wife and I started cringing when it was time to head to the restaurant or any other facility of the resort. However, what started getting to me from the first day on was that you are assigned a butler and the same waiter for the duration of your stay and it felt like more than being hospitable, their goal was to sell different deals, meals, excursions etc to us to get us to spend maximum money. The buggy driver is a thorough gentleman as is most of the reception staff. That part gets full marks and that's the only reason I've rated this property "Average", But.I was on bed and breakfast basis, as I'm not a fan of full board deals. We fell in love with the resort and villa. Check in was smooth, was upgraded to Japanese Sunset Villa which was fantastic with a plunge pool, Jacuzzi and stairs directly to the Indian Ocean. 20 minutes by boat from Male is a wonderful setting for the resort. Counter at airport was helpful, immediately escorted to boat by a lady who gave us cold water and towels. I am certain that once you walk through the main entrance of Adaaran Prestige Vadoo you are guaranteed to take back with you fond lasting memories. When you look back upon your memories what you cherish is not the grandeur of the place you stayed but how well you were treated. I recommend anyone who’s travelling to Maldives for the first time or nth time that Adaaran Prestige Vadoo is THE PLACE to stay. Staff were very attentive and ensured that we experienced the best of everything the island has to offer and take away fond memories of our family holiday. The staff were very friendly, pleasant and helpful when we asked for their help to select food. ![]() Situated in a breathtakingly beautiful surrounding like most or all the other resorts in Male what makes Adaaran Prestige Vadoo stand out from the rest of the resorts is the quality of their service provided by the wonderful staff. Ambience in restaurants were very welcoming and the food was one of the best our taste buds have experienced. The rooms were luxurious and very welcoming with a serene view of the crystal clear waters. We received a warm welcome by the staff and right away we knew we made the right choice by selecting Adaaran Prestige Vadoo for our stay in Maldives.
