Archers generally wore chain for mobility. Knights in the old days often wore light chainmail under a set of interlocking plates. Chainmail is good against blunt (or "crush" as I called it, forgetting the more common term you used) damage, while platemail is good versus pierce damage. XD I'll take it over there and see what people are saying.Īs for dividing it, if you had chainmail or plate-mail armor it would change things too. go to the real forums and comment in there, that is where the real good discussions are and where people will read what you write :D Originally posted by Zouls:yeah something like this would be cool, but specialised dmg types wouldnt really be, it would be logical to split it up somehow but if you split the dmg types into piercing or blunt that will mean that by this logic some will be almost useless against the other armor type needed, also if you specialise armor sets to also focus on either or that means a lighter armor target might take less dmg than a heavy armored target, i would prefer them all to just be dmg, but the idea of all weapon types having certain thigs they are good and bad at is really good and has been discussed before.
